Setting up Apple Watch monitoring
Pair CalmSignal with Apple Watch for proactive stress alerts.
Before you start
Make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are already paired in Apple Watch settings and both devices are signed into the same Apple ID.
Install CalmSignal on iPhone first, then confirm the Watch app is installed from the Watch app list on iPhone.
Pair Apple Watch with CalmSignal
Open CalmSignal on iPhone, then go to Devices → Add Device → Apple Watch and follow the pairing prompts.
When asked, approve Health permissions so CalmSignal can read heart rate and HRV signals needed for stress context.
Enable notifications and nudges
In iPhone Settings, allow CalmSignal notifications. Then open CalmSignal settings and enable the watch nudge types you want (for example breathing prompts or stress alerts).
How to confirm it is working
Check Devices in CalmSignal and ensure Apple Watch shows as connected.
After a short period of wear, confirm that watch-derived metrics appear in your CalmSignal timeline or wellness dashboard.
Troubleshooting
If watch data is missing, re-check Health permissions and ensure Bluetooth is on for both devices.
If the watch disconnects often, restart both iPhone and Apple Watch, then reopen CalmSignal and re-sync.
